I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for a couple of pubs to try in the Douglas area.
Many thanks

Oooh! yes!
get off the ferry, walk in the same direction across a car park and past the bus stops -- and there it is! Great choices!
I suppose you'll want the name ....well I could point you in the direction if I were there!!! - which is what you asked!
OK ... it's the Albert
Also try the Rovers Return and the Prospect
Woodbourne further out of centre pretty good too.
If you look on IOM camra website - pubs - they have a link to a google maps with all the pubs on the island marked.
Is that worth a pint?
Thank you. I tried their website, which is helpful, but you can't beat personal recommendation. They you can rag someone if it's crap.
But I think actually Chris, it may be you who will be providing the pints round my way soon!
Disambiguation: Chris modestly refrains from saying that she is coming to Lancaster, to the Borough, on Tuesday 6th November from 7.30 pm to do a tutored beer tasting. I've no doubt it will be really good. I've got the girls all that week while my ex swans off to bloody Florence with someone taller and richer than myself, and my daughters are still a bit too young to stick in a bus shelter with a Mars Bar and a bottle of placcy cider.
Iff you can get to Lancaster that night and would be interested, go to
haha - too kind and not at all justified!!
- I'm just the facilitator and support crew! Lynda Johnson from Prince of Wales Foxfield is the real star of the show!!! But it will be good ... especially for getting less well-known Lancs breweries' beers into competitions.
