Cheapest Ale. 66% price increase.

Some Holts establishments run a loyalty card scheme, my Thursday night local, Astley and Tyldesley Miners Welfare Institute is one of these. Imagine my horror when last night I found the "Loyalty Card" now takes 10 "stamps" for a free pint instead of the previous cards 6 "stamps".

OBO. the Northwest Capaign fo cheaper free beer.

Does this mean I will have to emigrate (50 miles South?)

2 brewerys that have never produced a bad pint (in my opinion) are Titanic and Pheonix. You can't go wrong if either is available.

Ken in "Bank Top" land.

I used to think that, but the Cranberry Xmas ale they did was an exception.

I have just joined york brewery club - 10 pints stamped - get one free!

also with 10% discount on each pint! (2.16p per pint)

even without that I would have joined. Adds to my enjoyment of my 3-5 visits to York per year!

I got off the train in Tesco's carpark one hot afternoon a couple of years ago.

Headed straight for the 'Spoons..... and missed by one door!

Only one person in the place and the prices were a little higher than expected. The penny dropped.

Went next door (downhill), and had a few.

Got back on the Train and had some more in Barrow, before returning back to Bank Top Land.

You should have got off at Silverdale and tried the Woodlands. Excellent and rather unusual pub apparently known locally as The Munsters. No Flat Cap for you though.
