This used to be a 'must visit' but due to incompetent management and greed, it's now one to avoid.
Sour grapes by some disillusioned employee? No not at all. I've been a regular visitor to this festival but have no connection with it in any way.
There are many problems with this event. None of the posters/ flyers, nor the website, mention the fact that there's an entrance fee. £10 with no discount for CAMRA members. Then there's the charge for a glass. Then you have to buy tokens for the beer. But thats not all. If you're coming from Keighley (as most people will) you have to pay a further £10 for a train ticket.
Last year was a shambles. you had to queue to get in, queue for a glass, queue for beer tokens, and queue to get served. The musicians were situated right beside the beer serving area, which meant that you could not communicate with staff behind the bar.
If ever there was a beer festival to put people off, this is it.
