I read in the latest CAMRA What's Brewing that the George in Chardstock, Devon has been deleted from the GBG through closure of the pub. Having been there several times, I wondered why it's closed - does anyone know?

Hmm, no reply! Doesn't anyone know this formerly excellent free house, which did good food too? Admittedly it was a bit off the beaten track, which could be the reason for its demise :(

It closed about June time with the departing landlord seemingly doing a runner. It's now open again after the tenancy was taken over by a local. Not much has changed so far.
