GK closing breweries? That's odd, they've never done that before. All those lucky people in Notts can now look forward to lashings and lashings of 'Camra Champion Bitter' (it says on the pumpclips) GK IPA, a beer that makes Worthington Bitter seem full of taste and character.

GK IPA has got to be one of the most revolting beers ever to have passed my lips. It took a friend and I over half and hour to finish a SHARED half-pint of the stuff, we had to try it to see what all the fuss was about. Luckily we had pints of Old Hookey to wash away the "flavour"

I wouldn't say it's revolting if in good condition - just very, very undistinguished, a glass full of bugger all. Abbot is usually a better bet in GK pubs but even that is bland for its strength.

Just another reason to add to the long list of good reasons, to continue to boycott GK beers.
