Kilkenny St Patricks Day real ale

Had a pint of a Kilkenny Real Ale today, but I can't seem to find any details about the brewer. It was called St Patrick's or St Patrick's Day, and the brewer was Kilkenny or O'Kilkenny... I don't know. The landlord said it came from Ireland ! :-)

It was drinkable, but way past its prime. Would be grateful to know who brewed it, and what the ale was hopped with.

Must be a sucker for real ale past its prime. About a week ago, I had a pint of a St Davids Day real ale, which I think maybe Brains brewed in Cardiff.

Many thanks for any help with the Kilkenny questions.

Unless some strange happened it isn't Real Ale. I suspect it bends the limits of tolerance describing it as ale or beer.

Guinness Customer Services deny the above is their product, so whatever beer you don't particularly like, doesn't seem to be brewed by Guinness.

I suspect it's probably from O'Malley's of County Kilkenny, they do a 4.3% St Patricks Day beer. The brewery is run by the brother of the Spinning Dog brewery owner and they ship their beers around the UK.
