Just some classic ill-informed nonsensical quotes from an International Herald Tribune piece on US Bud's marketing wheezes in the UK

While many Britons still prefer traditional cloudy, lukewarm ales, the market for clear lager beers is increasingly
> competitive, with Bud going up against local brews like Carling (which was Canadian AFAIK?)

hmmm, give me some of that "traditional cloudy, lukewarm ale"

"Bud is definitely a cool brand in the U.K. market," said Barry Houlihan, managing director of Mobile Interactive
> Group, the agency that created the Bud Bucks Web site and that runs the text-message portion of the

yet "cool" = "falling sales"? Maybe they should try brewing some of that warm cloudy stuff?

Budweiser sales in Britain, long one of the stronger markets for Anheuser-Busch, have also been falling in recent
> years, analysts say. Mintel, a market research firm, estimated that they fell about 20 percent from 2002 to 2004,

12°C must be some people's idea of a nice warm bath, then... :o>

In message , The Submarine Captain writes

Could I have the beer at 14C ?

Sure, no problem - it'll make the bath seem more refreshing :~) MikeMcG

12 C is just fine for me. At 14 you are over 57F which is too, too warm for my taste.

II in fact will do for me.
