Nope. The 12 bottles clause is for everybody. They only sell by the case. However the Youngs Special London Ale is an excellent buy.

I don't know what the official position is (and it may have changed) but I have found they make a difference between beer & wine/spirits.
I have bought a case of beer there w/o any wine/spirits but they have refused to sell me a couple of bottles of wine at the same time unless I bought 12 bottles of wine.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong - I KNOW you will
- but I think this is an effect of the Wholesale Licence - within each band of Duty ie 12 bottles (or volume equivalent) you must buy the minimum quantity and Beer and Wine are in different bands for Duty.
Don't know how this works for Spirits - perhaps you can add single bottles of Spirit to the minimum purchase in another category ?
