Just to remind you all that the first ever Skipton Beer Festival is taking place at the end of May (Fri 25th - Sun 27th).
There's an excellent train service from Leeds, and I understand there's a free shuttle bus from Skipton railway station to the Town Hall (the venue).

went on Friday. Good selection of beers and trade bars from Timothy Taylors and Copper Dragon. Quite a good venue and a useful bus connection from the station.
They need more beer though I'm told there were only 15 beers left on Saturday and none at all by Sunday.
But a good day out and followed by a couple of pints in the Narrowboat and the inevitable Bradford Curry
