The shortest pub crawl I've organized in college was 0 pubs and 0 yards - everyone was simply too drunk to even get to the first pub. Beat that if you can =)

I once went to a pub in Londonderry, then moved on to find another one. It was only when I went to the gents I realised we'd managed to walk in a circle, back to a quite distinctly different other half of the same pub.

We (a group of regular drinkers) once arranged a pub crawl in a town which had only two pubs worth visiting - these each had a large selection of real ales, however. These were across the street from one another, a distance of about 15 yards. The crawl started at 6 pm in the first pub, then moved across to the other at 8:30. It was completed by all participants. So while it might not beat the case where the 'crawl' started and finished in the same pub (seemingly unplanned!), without taking in any others, it probably beats the OP's as 'shortest'. I guess you need a minimum of two pubs to call it a 'crawl'?

Rupert Periwinkle, a stalwart of North Manchester CAMRA, invented the No Pub Pub Crawl a long way back, in 1977: .
