Torbay / Newton Abbot pubs

Any ideas for a pubcrawl in the Torbay area, and in Newton Abbot?

Torquay town centre is pretty awful. The only place that is worth risking is the 'Spoons on the main front.

Not a clue about pubs, only just moved to Devon, but the Newton Abbot beer festival is on from the 25th - 27th of this month.

Latest Good Beer Guide, arrived this morning, has

2 pubs in Newton Abbot, Dartmouth Inn & Wolborough Inn 2 in Torquay, Crown & Sceptre & Hole in the Wall 2 in Teignmouth, Blue Anchor Inn & Golden Lion, Isacc Merritt in Paignton

Yipes! A new one for the town. I missed that the last couple of times I've been in the town. Will check it out and retract me earlier comment!
