Hi, I'm in the planning stages of putting together my first ever kegerator. I'm just now starting to look into how much various components cost, but I don't want to buy something yet that may not work with changes in the design later on.
Short overview: I'm planning on converting a chest/upright freezer (as of yet I do not have this so the CO2 tank inside may become a moot point, but lets assume its not) with a new thermostat into a refridgerator, drilling a hole in the top and putting a tower tap on it etc..
My real question is where is best place to put the CO2 tank? Inside the freezer, or is it better to drill another hole, leave the CO2 tank outside and just run the airline in? I ask this because I've seen a couple CO2 regulators for (relatively) cheap on ebay, except that they're wall mount units. I suppose I could somehow fix it inside the freezer, but that seems like that might make it more difficult/expensive then the savings I would recieve from a regulator that would mount on the tank is worth. Any and all advice/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, John Alamia
