Hi, I am going to Paris in August. Are there any tea shops or tea rooms I shouldn't miss? Any place teawise at all?
Thanks all, Anna

I *love* the teas from Hediard, which is a high-end grocery chain. I'm big on flavored black teas, so their Caramel, House Blend, and Hediard Commemorative Blend are my favorites--but they're all great.

I'm not familiar with their teas myself, but some people swear by Mariage Freres.

Hi Anna, We visited the tea expo in Paris last year and found more you can drink. But for visiting Paris now don't forget Mariage Frères; Palais des thés and the French Betjeman and Barton shop. Here in Holland we have one too. Exquise! For the right addresses visit the site (in English)

Out of the Palais des Thes shops, visit the one in the 14th -
21 rue Raymond Losserand, 75014 Paris"Gaite" metro (or nearby Edgar Quinet or Montparnasse Bienvenue stops and sample the dubious pleasures of Rue de la Gaite on your way there ...)
there are other branches in the 6th and 16th but these look a trifle more for the posh crowd (same prices but probably not the whole range available loose) - rue de Nice seems to be their office and mail order base rather than a shop.
