To save Serge from a heart attack, that should have read "lacking in value at around CDN$120 a bottle"... ;o)

lack of enthusiasm for the other two, I gave it a pass.
I had the Cooper's Choice about a decade ago--this about describes it:
" It's certainly no heavyweight, but has a very appealing mix of honeyed sweetness and peaty smoke, especially on the nose. I also detected some malty, and fatty character on the nose... The finish is pretty brief and doesn't develop much, more like a fading away rather than revealing much about the whisky that the tongue doesn't grab in the first wave."
Those are your descriptions, of course, and they were pretty apt for the nose and flavor of the Aberfeldy of memory. I've never had McCann's oats, and I avoid vapory lemon creme cookies, so I can't comment on those bits. The flavor was lovely, but it did escape so quickly that I never could give the whisky top billing.
