Redbreast and Glen Scotia

I have enjoyed Glen Scotia for some time... but now I've discovered the Pure Pot Still whiskey's (Greenspot and Redbreast) and the strange thing is, is that there seems to be some sort of 'pot still' taste in the Scotia too, which I'd never noticed, because I was unfamiliar with it... Anyway, I don't like the Scotia that much anymore as every sip reminds me of the much fuller and more delicious Redbreast.

Question: Anybodyelse noticed this 'typical taste' in the Scotia which hints towards Pot Still? And anybody any clue what it is that I taste?

Thanks, Michel
