After I received several emails regarding how the bottles I found are probably among the last in North America (I'll trust the veracity of the opinion), I proceeded to pick up 2 of the 6 that were still there. With tax, the bottles ran $81.50US, which means that the retailer either knows what they have and are pricing accordingly or are selling on the expensive side just because.
If anyone wants me to pick up a bottle (or more) for them, I'll be happy to do so at the bottle's cost. I'll ship it out for exact shipping costs and no "handling fee", unless you use PayPal to cover me (I'll expect for you to cover their fees). All duties, customs, etc. are the receiver's responsibility. If you are interested, drop me a private email and we will make arrangements.
As an aside, while I was there I also picked up a Laing Old Malt Cask IB of Laphroaig 15 that was distilled in February of 86. Since I have an OB of Laphroaig 10 that I recently purchased, along with the 15 OB, I am planning a little treat for myself. Gonna invite my neighbor over this weekend (another Laphroaig nut) and we're going to do all 4 in a vertical tasting and then have ourselves a fine cigar (El Rico Grand Habanero from 1999). I shall send the ladies of myself away for the evening so as to not subject them to such things !
