Aussie Icons for sale...maybe.

G'day folks. Having been an avid reader of this forum for many years, I do understand the dislike of folks using this forum as a means to sell their wares. I think this situation is a tad different.

As many of you know, I have been in the wine trade for 8 years, and as a result, have been able to collect and horde many iconic australian wines. This has NOTHING to do with the business, it is simply me considering selling some of my prized private collection.

Why?

Despite my attempts to "elevate" my tasting and appreciation of quality wines, it seems my palate does not appreciate aged reds as much as others. Don't get me wrong, I love aged reds, but some of the wines in my collection are just too good for my palate, and I thought some of the folks in here may appreciate first dibs on any offered for sale.

Secondly, I am coming under pressure from SWMBO for the ludicrous amounts of money I have spent restoring a classic car. The car is 99% complete, so I thought I as well as partly funding this madness, I could appease the other half whilst at it...>).

It is probably only a viable option for Aussies and Kiwis in this group, but hey, thought I'd stick a post in here to gauge any feedback.

If any interest is shown, I could post a list of the wines here, and leave it to you guys, or, if that is seen by others to be not politically corrcet, I could communicate via email.

Anyways, over to you good folks, and no hassle, as ebay will be my next step...:>)

hooroo.

"SWMBO" - thought I wa the only one left who quoted Horace Rumpole on his signature phrase - love it!

Whilst I am a Rumpole fan too, should you not give real credit to Rider Haggard who first coined and used this phrase, which Rumpole, who knows his English literature quotes, from "She"?

If Mr. Gonzales is ousted as AG based on his constitutional interpretations, Rumpole is #1 on the list of replacement---he'd get em all off; Scootor Libby, Karl Rowe, Dick "Dead-eye" Cheney, Tom Delay, etc. Who's going to have to tell #43 that Rumpole is a fictional character and choice number

I'd be interested in seeing it Swoop.

If no one objects I can't see any problem in you posting a list, or even a link to a list.
