After 3 great weeks in SF....I'm back. While out there I went through a few wineries and wine bars/shops. I recommend that you go to the Ferry Pier Market, great wineshop/bar.........had a great selection of well crafted wines for sale and to consume. They partnered with the local cheese maker to have a wonderful platter of hand crafted cheeses, breads, and olives to enjoy with their excellant wine selection. In Napa Valley we enjoyed Milat's small tasting room and meeting Mike (one of the owners) they have a great Zin 2003 Napa Valley and the Pine Station Red table wine was very well balanced and flavorful. Their Zivio desert wine was one of California's best. More to follow.

I was in San Francisco last winter and I think I visited the place you mention. If I'm not mistaken, it was near the Embarcadero.
Anyway, I managed to pick up a couple of nice bottles there...though we drank them already. One of them was a Michael Pozzan 2004 Pinot Noir. Excellent wine when paired with some good goat cheese and light smoked meats and salmon.

Yes, it is on Embarcadero where Market Street begins. Great on Saturdays, they have the farmers Market set up out front on the wide sidewalks.
