Areyou talking about the RD? If so, around $200. If it was an old issue of RD, you will need to be able to account for how it has been kept since release, or else it won't be worth much.

If not, it's the Grande Année which should be around USD60 to 70.

Not really sure. I'm not into champagnes and wines. The story of this one is that I found it a month ago while working in Brighton, UK as a street-sweeper. In one place of the area where I used to work there were some glass waste bins, just opposite a wine shop. Apart some other wines/champagnes I found, this one seems to be the most expensive. People jsut often used to leave their 'freshly-bought' champagne/wine on a pavement and then forgot to take'em back.

How to recognize if it is a RD or Grande Année? I cannot find it stated anywhere on a bootle.

Sorry, I misread the vintage in the subject for 1996. As to 1976, you won't find it in normal sources.

Apparently there is no older label depicted on the net.

But since you say there it's vintage dated, it is the vintage.

Anyhow: Any champagne of 1976 has to have the proof of perfect provenance (= cold storage) to be worth anything.

I took a photo of a bottle, here it is:

I'm affraid it hasn't got, although I'm pretty sure it was stored in cold. On the other hand, bottle's label (as seen on a photo above) doesn't look very nice, there are some discolourings on it. Anyway, is it worth selling this champagne or I should rather keep it for myself, waiting for a special occasion to drink it;)? How much do You think it migh be worth without having a proof you mentioned?

For the age the label look near to perfect.

Try , enter "bollinger" and "1976" in the appropriate cases to give an approximate value. Selling would probably mean a notable discount, especially if you cannot prove excellent provenance.

I'd rather put in into the fridge and open it (and have a decent back-up bottle ready in case it's over the hill).
