I have a bottle of 2003 Mesel Cabernet Cubin from Phalz (13% alcohol). I have researched the grape and it appears to be an oddball with very Limited production in Germany.
Any thoughts or exerience to share? Shall I open it now or wait?

With some 20 hectares planted on this planet, I guess there is little chance that any of the regulars has ever tasted a sample of this new German breed of the 1970s, a crossing of Blaufränkisch and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Personally, I would try it now, but it will surely keep for the next 5 or so years.
