As I am newly retired, I thought I'd try to make my wine drinking a bit more detailed. I have always liked and drank wine, but describing it has escaped me. With more time, I'm going to give this a try. Take this with little weight - accuracy.

1993 Duxoup Charbono

Charbono is a wine I enjoyed early in the 1970's. There was more in Napa Valley it seems than now.

Very dark wine. Strong berry -? blackberry ? aroma. Maybe some spice. Very nice. Very smooth tasting light tannins, how ever I usually don't keep wines this long. Tangy short finish.

Went very well with the grilled stake, mushrooms, and asparagus.

I think this got lost in the cellar.

Anyone else familiar with this wine?

Al

New winery to me, though I've enjoyed a couple older CA Charbono. Thanks for the notes, and welcome aboard!
