I am looking for a wine tutorial on how to distinguish between different wines and such. Any ideas where I can find one on the net?

The one big omission IMO from the list of URLs posted by Kirk-O-Scotland is wine-pages.com. In particular, there is a mini wine course on this site that would seem to meet your needs.
