Vermouth herbs

Aug 12, 2004 3 Replies

Hi, I've been looking for hours on Internet to find a place within the US where I can buy vermouth herbs. Found only UK sites so far. Any ideas? TIA!

You should be able to get what you require from any local shop, without going on the net.

Unfortunately not. Making Vermouth is apparently not very popular in the US.

Maybe a natural foods place that sells dried herbs?

If you post a list or link I can make a call to some places here in Pgh... I think woodruff was one of the primary herbs but know next to nothing about vermouth making. I'm up for making one though, so willing to hunt too.

Good vermouth is really cheap here, so maybe theres not much call for it. I'm pretty sure I saw a Taylor vermouth in New York; if so those herbs are available here somewhere... Joe
