Emery, IIRC the "Perrin Reserve" label is for their nego business only. It's interesting to me that the Rhone Valley is the one region in Fracne where negociants continue to thrive, despite many growers having begun to bottle their own wine. Is it just a matter of time before they too suffer the same trials as Burgundy negociants?

Hmm, perhaps, Mark. Of course (as we both know) the Rhone has always been a hotbed of small "farmer/vintners." But I wonder if the climate favors a much more even production, which in turn favors the negociant. However you slice it, Burgundy isn't an easy place to grow grapes! :)

Au contraire, Emery! Burgundy is such an easy place to grow grapes that they routinely apply to INAO for exemptions to the established yield limits! ;-) In all seriousness, your point is a good one.
