underage wine purchasing from a grocery store??

I am only 19 but i enjoy wine. I live in the us and cant legally acquire it for a year and a half. I devised a plan on how to get a bottle from a food store without much trouble. Mostly i plan to con the cashier to sell it to me along with some food items.

They sell the stuff with the food and soda and everything else at a local food store. I just plan on coming up with a cart with some stuff and a bottle of wine or two. Go to get my wallet out of my pocket to discover I forgot my ID. Oh dear me! I hope they offer to believe me or I use physical appearance to my advantage. I have the hairline of most people in their late 20s. I have a decent beard line for my age and I'd say over all I look to be in my early 20's. 22 or

  1. I wont act upset too much if they dont want to sell me the bottle, thats a dead give away. Ill even just pull my hair back to show my hairline.

I come across as an alcoholic or something as i read what i type, even to me. Im not. I much prefer to smoke pot than drink in excess.

Anyone think this will work? If youre still reading.

Come on 19 and you don't already have an established plan? talk to your friends, they should know the drill, Most of us have been out of that game longer than you can recall (unfortunately but true)

It really depends on how the grocery store trains their clerks. When I was in college, I spent a bit of time working for a 7-Eleven convenience store in Florida, where it is possible to get booze from convenience stores. That company strongly urges all employees to check ID's if there is even a shadow of a doubt about the customer's age; otherwise, the employee will be fired on the spot. I saw it happen.

That is the super advantage of cannabis prohibition. Since it is illegal the vendor does not have to worry about your age! All alcohol used to be illegal in the State of Mississippi but there was no problem for a certain fourteen year old kid that I used to know very well to buy anything he wanted. Since Mississippi still has "dry counties" (thanks to Bible Thumpers) there are still bootleggers around.

Everyone I know that smokes weed like to clear the throat with a few beers. The psychedelic effects of THC sure beat the falling down effect of too much alcohol. However I like wine because of the taste but much of it just makes me want to sleep.

I suppose when and if they start drafting kids under 21 for the next great war that just maybe 18 years old will be the new age limit.
