Harvest Help

Aug 26, 2003 0 Replies

One of our growers has come up short on harvest help this year.

Grapes (or juice*) will be available for those who help harvest. Food will also be provided (wine too, after the work is done!).

The vineyard is located in SE Missouri near St. Genieveve. The major picking date will be this coming Saturday, August 23rd.

If interested, contact me via email or phone at:

Grape variety is Chardonel. This has been an award winning vineyard and there's no reason to believe that it won't produce tremendous wine again. There's virtually no rot. Parameters as of today are:

Brix pH TA

21.5-23 3.05-3.22 9.45-9.60

These will be pressed at Peaceful Bend in Steelville, so if juice is desired, it must be picked up at the winery on Sunday (unsettled) or Monday (fined/clear).
