late ripening season?

usually my plums are ripe the 1st week of aug, but they are still green on the tree! anyone else experiencing late fruit?

I ask because A) 3rd year of plums, last year was lousy B) I've been experimenting with pruning last fall and want to know if that was a variable C) we had a cool july, like nights of high 30s instead of normal 50s

Plums look great though, might be another major year (1st year 20 gallons wine, 2nd year TWO gallons) next year looks like it'll be better yet! (if results of last years pruning reflect future gains)

I would pick C) to explain your situation. Things like plums aren't going to do much when it is that cold. Hopefully they will get there.
