Bottle a batch of plain peach wine last weekend, and while it has a really good peachy after-taste, it's kind of ... odd-tasting upfront. Has good body, though.
Or, is peach wine more involved than, say, pear or mango wine (ie - balancing flavors, etc). I got a bottle of peach wine for my mother last year when I went out to the Finger Lakes, and that was excellent.
