For those that make wine from grapes soon knows it is that time again. Where to get them, what to get and at what kind of pricing.
Reds, reds, reds, well some whites I guess. Last year we were very lucky to have access to a freight plain in which we actually flew in Oregon grapes Pinot Noir and others. Today the plain is grounded after an electrical fire and the backers moved on and bought a vinery in South Africa. We are a few hardcore winemakers here in Tampa Bay Florida, and I have kind of been the leading force to find grapes for us all. Unfortunately, this year I have not been able to follow much of what is going on in California/Oregon, I probably can't even find time to make the trip out there again as it looks right now. So, I am at anyone's mercy. There seem to have been a bit of a turnover with the grape growers on the hills and some of the new owners/managers seem a bit uneasy to deal with.
Any pointers, any tips are dearly appreciative.
