Well, we meant the same pub, I'm sure.
I missed the wrong name.

I must have missed six of them.
Sorry, yes, bit of a brain fart, that one.
I even like the Mad Bishop and Bear at Paddington station. Not much character, like most station pubs, but the Fullers range is generally in good shape, no complaints.
Next time, perhaps.
S'alright - so did I. :-p
Would that be the Bath in Somerset by any chance, or is there one in Cornwall that I haven't heard of? :D
LOL - Salamander is in Bath, BANES (not even Somerset any more !)
Since we're discussing Bath, I've a stag night to organise for the
23rd Aug. Salamander is fine - does anybody have any recommendations in Bath for a mostly-real-ale crowd of about 8-12 mid 30s blokes ?Prefer walkable for obvious reasons, though since Bath is only about
1/2 mile across (LOL) it shouldn't be much of an impediment to the last train back to Bristol. We'd be likely to visit 4-6 pubs for the duration.Cheers - Neil

Old Green Tree, Coeur de lion (sp?),(if you can all fit in!), Bell, Star.
out of town a bit, but Ok if on the train: Royal Oak, Hop Pole (Oldfield Park Station)
Of course, there's pubs in Brissle too!
I think that should just about cfill it!
LOL thanks Paul

Cheers Esra I'll look them up, I've been to Bath quite a few times but not as much in the last 2-3 years, and things change (like the Hat & Feather going) seemingly quite quickly.
The exact reason we're out of Bristol is to avoid people leaving early to go on somewhere they prefer, or to meet up with WAG's ;-)
And of course for a bit of a change of scene.
Cheers - Neil
