I spent a month in Nelson Bay, NSW. Had a ball. Drank nothing but Toohey's New. They must have had to ramp up production. ;)
Now I'm stuck back in the US.....and missing the New. Is it available in the US and where?
I drank a lot of schooners of Toohey's New, back in the early 70's when I lived in NSW. You won't find any in the US. Binny's in Ill. does carry King Lager, which is the only other Aussie brew I've seen for ever, other than the Cooper's products.(very good when fresh specially the extra stout)
I hear you can still find some Sheaf Stout and Old Australia Stout if you know where to look.
Yeah, I can get Sheaf Stout at Oade's Big Ten in Lansing, MI...
