Excuse me for late reply but as beer taster I am always travelling and.....drinking:-)

Florence is indeed a Wonderful town, very nice area but unluckily not the best place to find good beer in Italy. Tuscany region is like a beer-desert, Tuscanians are the last (with Umbria habitants) in consuption of beer in my country, probably because they have an ancient wine tradition.

Do not miss Orzo Bruno pub in Pisa, that is th etap room of "Il Birrificio Artigiano"

located in Bientina where my dear friend Mrs Rosa Gravina brew good craft beers

I have never been at Il Bovaro brewpub in Florence (however they know me) but John White enjoyed his visit there ( see his report on
