GK are apparently seeking to increase the number of women running their pubs -

"Come on Girls - You could be queen of the Castle (or the Crown, or the Prince of Wales...) We're looking for more women to run pubs. Currently, only 13% of the Greene King pub estate is operated by independent females and we'd really like to recruit some more. Come on girls . . ."

They've set up a pink website with the name Public Housewives (IMO an unwise choice - sounds like a specialist publication for the fan of amateur exhibitionists) -

Most GK tenants now are lugubrious, unimaginative and have the social skills of a dead dolphin.

Thank goodness for the mighty micros.

Pay peanuts, you get monkeys. Who'd be a tenant? If you work hard and make a success of the pub, they increase your rent. If you don't make a success of it because of the high price of the non-discounted, restricted beer range, they sack you.
