Hardys and Hansons

I visited Nottingham last Friday to drink some H&H beers for the last time. Went to the Vat and Fiddle first, excellent choice in there, beer quality has been excellent each time I've visited.

The Olde Trip's beers are excellent, the Kimberley Mild especially so. The locals didn't think much of them selling that Greene King dishwater. Personally I don't think its good enough to wash your socks in. The Kimberley Bitter, which we only saw sold in here was also superb.

The Mild in The Bell Inn isn't a patch on that sold in the Trip. A mate had visited earlier in the Week and had warned me off drinking in The Bell because of the quality of the Ale served. There were a few heathens at the Bar drinking GK IPA, say no more!

The Cock and Hoop is well worth a visit. It is like the bar of a country hotel located in one of the busiest drinking streets in Nottingham. Two beers from local breweries in good nick and also Deuchars IPA and London Pride.

Currently the Trip is also selling the rare Cursed Galleon strong mild brewed mainly just for Trip and the Kimberley seasonal Gunpowder Plot. All this will disappear within a few weeks in the name of corporate greed. Get it while you can.
