Real-ale in Wales.

Hi, The Jolly-Boys went to Wales - to Aberystwyth and narrow gauge steam to Devils Bridge; look-you, because they could. They found two pubs opposite the sation in Aberystwyth., separated by a lane. On the right, an elderly hotel type looking dusty enough but failing with only a poor Pedigree on the hand-pump and a million cocktail recipe's on the (false?) roof beams. On the left, what looked like a yuppie bar - with the real stuff and comfortable seats to boot. Brains! Excellent fish, chips and peas in the old market square and another excellent pint, next door but one. Couldn't make the pub up the road at 'Bridge - no time - but since Aber station is a Wetherspoons, had an hour to sample a brace. Well worth the day out - and what fine weather too!
