Tenby

Any recommendations for decent pub in/near centre of Tenby? I know its a bit "lively" at weekends - but I can wait...

The Hope and Anchor (St Julian St) has real ale and food and may be worth a visit. Near the harbour. This review is in the Good Pub Guide:

"Pleasant pub nr seafront, friendly staff, generous well presented food from sandwiches (inc crab from Caldy Island) to fresh fish, three or four changing guest beers, coal fire; children welcome in upstairs dining room, tables out on terrace, open all day."

Have a look here for some more suggestions in the area:

Some years ago we stayed in Manorbier, a few miles away. The Castle had good beer (including Theakston OP) - although less good service. Maybe it's better now.
