A Happy St. Andrew's Day to all.....

...to be celebrated here with wee dram of uisege beatha before bed. Perhaps a Highland Park 12 or a Laphroaig 10.......

The perfect opportunity to finish off what's left of my Lagavulin . . . Let's hope I get another bottle before Burn's Night!

A work colleague who attended last week's Laphroaig sponsored debate in Simpson's brought me a little bottle of the 10 year old they were giving away. The Evening Standard online was offering pairs of tickets as prizes so I passed the link to her as she's a big fan of Boris Johnston, who chaired the event. She entered, and won, but told me the next day that she'd brought the average age down to about 65.

Haven't tried the Laphroaig yet, as I've got bottles of Aberlour, Jameson and Bushmills to get through (friends work in the Bushmills distillery and I often get a bottle of something special from them).
