dissapointing

Our Anniversary, tomorrow the 17th. To celebrate today, opened: Iron Horse "Benchmark", 02 a Meritage,(my favorites), at $69.99 : Thin, no nose, jam taste, bitter finish. UGH!! Drinks like a $6.99.

Yesterday we celebrated at an East Central, Florida B&B, in Indiantlic. Very nice experiance. Opened, Camus "Cabernet" 03 at 69.99. Very silky texture, cherry, currant, perfect tannins, long lasting finish. Equally as good as the Camus "special Select at $140.

The best at any price.

Perhaps the Iron Horse was cork-tainted? Sometimes a tainted wine will seem "dead" rather than having the characteristic burlap-sack aroma/ flavor.
