It's a bit like U2 winning five Grammy awards. What have U2 done lately? Nothing. Arethey representative of today's music? No. These are carreer awards.
Some are there because they are icons but no longer really relevant (Bocuse and Robuchon are obvious ones).
Mind you, some of the listed chefs are truly great. But there are serious gaps among the recent hot spots (great, Can Roca is there, but where is Thierry Marx?).
The order is strange. Pascal Barbot is good, but is he better than Troisgros? I don't think so.
I wish I could try them all, I have been at 5 of the places mentioned... including number 1, and while I enjoyed the "experience" I found it seriously technically flawed and would not return there.
Nothing like our dinners at either Chez Tommasi or BBQ St.Anne - huh?
