Yeah, they're one of my faves. They have been making a consistently plush Pinot Gris as well as a consistently fine Sauvignon Blanc for a long time.

My wife and I have been fans of their's since first trying their Pinot Noir in the café of Chez Panisse 15 years ago. Their Pinot Noir is consistently good (the Méthode à L'Ancienne can be quite excellent) and their Gewürrztraminer is one of the best in California (IMO). In fact, their entire selection is well made, and the prices are exceptionally reasonable in today's market. Just don't let anyone else know these secrets, Jason! ;-)

Coincidentally, I read their winter newsletter over the weekend, and it's one of the most personable newsletters we receive. All in all, Navarro is one of my favorite wineries in California.

We usually buy their Gewürz, Méthode à L'Ancienne Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris when we go up that way. We also keep a supply of their Pinot Noir and Gewürztraminer grape juices, which make a very nice spritzer for those who don't drink alcohol. The juices each have true varietal flavor, and are much more pleasant than any other grape juice I've had. A local bar makes a vodka drink with the Pinot Noir juice and a twist of lime, a drink I may try at home sometime soon.

Next time you're in the area, try Lazy Creek, it's also a very pleasant place to visit, with nice Pinot Noir and Gewürz, and a delicious unoaked Chardonnay.

Thats funny because I first had their Pinot Noir from Chez Panisse about 5 months ago! Navarro and Chez Panisse seem like a natuaral pair for each other with their casual and quality nature.
