Hi all,I'm new to this group, and am excited to have found it! I have aquestion about petite sirah. I'm going to a wine dinner next weekendwith the theme of petite sirah between $12-25. I live on the centralcoast of California; any suggestions on good petite sirahs readilyavailable in this price range in my area? As you can tell, I don'tknow a lot about petite sirah!Thanks,Kari

Ophir in the Sierra Foothills appellation (Placer County) has an excellent '02 Petite Sirah Reserve in that price range.

Hey everyone, thanks for all of the suggestions (and for the info about the grape)! I can't wait to learn more about Petite Sirah and thanks to you all I have quite an extensive shopping list going; I'm going to buy several bottles just for fun, I think. That is to say, I'll go shopping after I get paid on Friday! ;-)

I'll let you know how the tasting goes, and what I liked.
