Can't recall how strong it is, I only tried real "Chouchenn" once at a crepery in Vancouver B.C. made from buckwheat flower honey. It was unusual but very good. In my copy of "Brittany Gastronomique" is a mention for Pierre Dassonville who makes a range of meads.
