Last night, with a Thai dinner, we opened:
2005 Schloss Gobelsburg "Gobelsburger" Riesling nose: minerals, peaches, lime, a hint of tropical fruit palate: dry, somewhat creamy mouthfeel, peaches and lime, clean finishIn my ongoing campaign to get Jean to like Riesling, I purchased this Austrian Riesling. I've really liked the Gobelsburger GV in the past (a good QPR choice) so gave this similarly priced Riesling a try... and very glad I did. Both of us liked this a lot, Jean found yet another dry Riesling to her liking, and it went well the yellow chicken curry. Well worth the $14 I paid for it.
