TN: Found Fronsac

I've been really happy that our local Costco starting getting prime beef. Last night we tried some lovely marbled NY strips, along with grilled squash and leftover bean/corn/salad. Wine was the 1998 Ch. Dalem (Fronsac), a wine I had enjoyed over the years, but thought I had finished. Stumbled across a bottle, it wasn't in CT, time to go. Sweet cassis and blackberries, a touch of vanilla, fat and soft. Tannins are resolved, finish is a bit shorter than I remembered from past, this is tasty but clearly needs to be drunk now (and could have used a bit more oomph for the steak). Still, pleasant Righbank Merlot. B

Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C mediocre. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was only choice. Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.
