Here are some notes culled from my blog at

Corbett Canyon Merlot California (non-vintage) - Medium maroon color, blackberry/oak nose with blackberry and plum flavors, moderately tannic with mild acidity and a fairly long finish. Impressive effort for only $7.99 per magnum (sale).

2002 KOG Hill Chambourcin - opaque maroon color, cherry/nutty nose, black cherry and vanilla flavors with a dry, full-flavored finished. Probably the best example of this red grape I ever had. Regular price $9.99. From PA.

2005 Lindeman's Bin 99 Pinot Noir Southeastern Australia - maroon color, aromas of cherry and plum with red cherry flavors dominating. This is more like it! $6.99 on sale.

2003 Pio Chianti Colli Senesi - black cherry color, clean plum aroma with plum and blackberry flavors, low acidity and moderate tannins. On sale for $7.99. From Italy (Duh!)

Carlo Rossi Burgundy California (non-vintage) - dark maroon color, noseful of black cherries with smooth plum and black cherry flavors, a touch of acidity. Surprisingly flavorful for a jug wine! $7.99 per magnum (1.5 litre)

Dan-O (forgive me - I HAD to try at least one jug wine!)
