From looking at MMW songwriting credits, I get the impression that John is the musical leader of the trio. I just like their unpredictability; no two of their CD's sound alike.

Not necessarily in this order but here goes:
Food and wine country travel, Sailing, Dogs(my golden retreiver specifically), practical jokes...always planning the next one on close friends/family....reading, some pro bono work makes me feel good to.
If you and your lovely wife ever decide to visit NY, and give us a chance to repay your Nice-ean hospitality, I'll see if a (neophyte wine guy) friend can join us, he was Gerry Mulligan's drummer for many years (though not during the original "cool" era, he's just a little older than me). Lots of jazz fans here it seems
I don't think - honestly - that I can class wine as my #1 love. Apart from family, I guess cooking and eating food would be my equal first loves with wne being concommittant to that.
Apart from that, classical - especially medieval and renaissance choral music. Some 20th C classical too as long as it has nothing to do wth Vienna. 70s US west coast rock, and some British stuff too.
Writing/teaching about food and wine. Quite enjoy photographing wild orchds, I think Lord Bourke may remember me on my belly trying to take a portrait of a spike Ladies trsses ( Spiranthes spiralis) in September while they were admiring Curemonte.
the other thing that takes a lot of time is my work for tourism in my area in France (quite apart from my work in the B&B).
I used to love playing Bridge, but I've not played seriously for 20 years since we've been in France and have quite forgotten even how a progressive squeeze works.

Thanks Dale. The way the wind is blowing, I doubt that we will visit the Big Apple in the foreseeable future, though ... And yes, lots of music fans, lots of hikers, lots of out-doorsy, I-like-sports kinda people - there isn't one who hasn't got an interest I would gladly sit down and talk about, or enjoy taking part in ...
It made me realise just how many interests there are, and I have ... Friday we saw Clint Eastwood's last movie (he says so himself, this will be my last) Gran Torino and enjoyed it tremendously. Movie of the year, so far. But, hey, it is only late March, so ...
