Can't find Welch's 100% Juice Concentrate

I'd like to experiment with a gallon of Welch's wine, but I'm having trouble finding a grocery store that carries anything but the Grape "cocktail" concentrates. I have already bought two of those mistakenly, which I guess I'll just drink as they were intended to be drunk!

I live in Alberta and have tried Safeway, IGA, and SaveOnFoods, all with no luck - can anyone help me locate this stuff?

thx,

Simon.

If you can't find Welch's, I have tried Old Orchard 100% frozen juices with success. I would think any frozen 100% juice concentrate would work - you might check labels on the brands you have, maybe there's a brand name which you could substitute. Under ingredients, it should first list "grape juice concentrate" followed by water, maybe some ascorbic acid. But if you see "corn syrup, water, & sugar listed first followed by grape juice, then I wouldn't use it, you're getting mostly sugar water. Good-luck. Darlene

I buy them at Safeway here in Anchorage... I have to look close because they have them mixed in with the cocktails.

What a ripoff...I can find pure 100% juice....orange juice. Nothing pure that came from a grape though!

You might try asking the manager at your favorite grocery store to order you some of the Welch's 100%. If they carry the other Welch's varieties, I'd bet their distributor carries the full line (or could get it pretty easily). We've tried that on occasion regarding less-popular varieties of Campbell's soup, and the store was glad to oblige. It's worth a try, anyway.
