Dear friends, Financial Times intervieuwed me on my mobile on mid-November when I was on the road in Brussels with a lot of noise around me so the journalist does not understood me well about the price of a pint of real ale in Italy. It is 5 Euros, not 5 pounds ! See the article clicking on
Hi Lorenzo I especially enjoyed the bit from the guy from the "Food From Britain" export agency - "Transporting the beer is another (problem). We have had a few casks explode en route, leaving a nasty mess of hops everywhere,"
You & I know the casks didn't actually explode, but it does sound very exciting :~)
& good to hear that (some of?) the ales are dry-hopped too.
I was less keen on the FT writer's easy snipe (or mistaken impression?) of the correct serving of UK ale was warm & flat
I had some trouble finding the piece, so I made a shorter link
formatting link
or c&p the long url between
cheers MikeMcG (on the BSF RestOfWorld bar next to yours at GBBF last year)
