Greene King IPA - How did it become a CBoB finalist?

I haven't slagged you off. Though I might do if you keep on overreacting on the basis of mistaken assumptions about what I wrote and why I wrote it....

Not how I read it. YMMV.

A subtle distinction. The effect is the same. Neither versions are accurate about my expactations or knowledge of how they manage the beer supplies - as I tried to explain, only to get the "We just can't win" post.

Well I assume it bores others, there's enough posts for people to make their own minds up (if they're that bothered). If you're worried I am cutting it short for some other reason I'm happy to take it to email ;)

No I didn't. I merely told you what happened to make us change what we did, which was a few years ago now. YMMV, but what I told you was an explanation not an accusation.

Your expectations aren't in line with the reality though.

Much as the bar staff would like to have a nice empty stillage and plenty of help to load it when it arrives and then give it a full length stillage period the reality is that these inconvenient things called customers not only get in the way of the immediate delivery and stillage but also make demands upon the time of the staff to serve them and just to be even more trying they haven't even had the decency to drink all the other beer to make sure the stillage is empty to receive the incoming beer.

Now, do note that although I haven't worked on the Great British Beer Festival bar in the last 20 years, but I have worked on various other festivals in various capacities so I do have a vague inkling of what the job entails.

Your expectations are an ideal which should be aimed for but will never be achieved.

OK. I'm happy to agree that misunderstandings occurred.

Thanks for the description of how things are done btw, it was useful to know.
