THree Stags Head Wardlow Mires

Went to this marvellous location on Saturday and pleased to report that it is the same as it ever was.

However it might be worth noting that the pub is now only open Friday night, all day Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays.

He is open daily between Christmas and New Year.

This does of course mean that if you turn up on a (normal) Monday and Friday lunchtime you will be disappointed.

Thank God for that! When I saw the title of this thread I thought it was going to be a report of another classic pub that had closed.

Roy.

Doesn't sound like the pub is under threat. Talking to the landlord he makes more money making his pottery and he can't justify employing any bar staff at present.

He said that if there was an upturn in trade he would extend these hours.

Ah, one of the great pubs!! And the only place where I've seen a live goshawk sitting up at the bar.

Yes, you'd never get that in your local Wetherspoons!
